Kollu chutney

    

Ingredients :


Kollu ( Horse gram ) - 1/2 cup

Small onion - 15 nos

Tomato -  1 no

Green chillies - 2 nos

Garlic - 4 pods

Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

Coriander leaves -  a hand full


For seasoning:


 Gingelly Oil - 2 tbs

 Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp

 Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp

 Dry chillies - 2 nos

 Asafoetida - 1 pinch 

 Curry leaves - a hand full


Method: 


Pressure cook the kollu with 10 small onions , tomato, green chillies ,  

3 garlic pods and a spoon of  oil ,  a pinch of  salt and turmeric powder 

After cook well drain the kollu water to make rasam. 

Grind  the cooked kollu ( not nice )with its ingredients , and  

add the 5 small onions give one or two stirs. 

The raw smell of the onions and the ungrind onion pieces 

are  the highlight of this chutney. 

Finally  seasoned and garnished  with coriander leaves...
